Just some random quotes from Polosatiy's original column at Cyberfight.ru.
I do not really care about this voting neither about the fact that I lost to the famous Potti, it was nice to see myself in the list of 16 best gamers in the world, and the info was nicely written as well.
The fact is that ESR admins were far from understanding what this poll was for anyway, what was their goal they were trying to achieve. An idiot would understand that such votings are made for player's fans. And if the very same Thresh is not playing in cybersport tournaments for a huge while, the fans of current "legends" have stormed away the true stars. The people were crying out loud due to the fact that Thresh is losing to Polosatiy, oh what a tragedy indeed. Current generation just doesn't know and just don't care who is Thresh, neither does Thresh care about this voting. In the end all the whine turned into a huge scandal and the horde of Russian fans were actually disqualified (by removing Russian representative from the poll).
About cheating. Schroet.com were the ones who started the whole thing when
HeatoN was "playing" against
ZeRo4, admins of Shroet.com wrote a pretty obvious propaganda and asked to vote for
HeatoN.
Today it's another SK.swe player starring - HeatoN, though this time vs the Quake3 star player
ZeRo4.
Help us to vote
HeatoN for the Greatest Gamer of all times.
And the link "Vote for HeatoN here". For some reason ESR admins decided not to pay their attention to this fact. But when d1monn wrote a newsitem on a small Russian web-site - Cyberfight (comparing to Schroet.com) in which he asked to vote for me it instantly turned into a chaos, things had to be done immediately, everyone must be banned, deleted, removed.
P.S. In case similar votings will be held in future, it would be a better thing to gather the jury and choose the players, no problem with that. But this time we got a show-off.
The only line ESR admins were able to consider as CHEATING was about the voting's security hole, they just needed something as proof, at least a tiny reason to remove Roman from the poll. The rules were changing as the "fight" was moving on, isn't this something ridiculus? Or is it just me?
There is not any specific reason why I wrote this column, perhaps it is just the bad mood that has been with me all day and the sad music in my playlist, perhaps it is something more serious.
