Well, I'm back from Korea and got 18, that's the main news about me since my last column. Let's get back to business, shall we?
.plan
- Write more columns, articles and news for cyberfight.org
- Attract new visitors to cyberfight.org
- Finish my school
- Attend WipeOut LAN (hopefully)
- Get my team, cSport, some sponsors and promote it even more
- Win UT2003 TDM Open Cup Div.3
- Write some articles for game magazines
- Some more plans for cyberfight.org
As you can see, a lot of the things in my .plan are related to cyberfight.org. Me and Polosatiy decided to put a lot of effort in this project and bring it back to life. Yep, that's right. Expect a lot of materials during the next months, we took about 20 interviews at World Cyber Games, I almost finished my big report, there will be video (featuring female Counter-Strike team BTB) as well.
cSport
cSport - that's my team for 5 years now, or even 6, I don't remember for sure. Since I've moved to Russia new possibilites came, but I didn't forget my baby. Right now I'm the manager of team cSport and War Arranger as well. cSport is in Division 3 of ClanBase's Open Cup and currently ranked 1st in Group B. We didn't lose a single map and our results were really impressive so far:
cSport > RNA 2:0 (default win) cSport > noL 2:0 (163:50, 150:49) cSport > uMa 2:0 (99:43, 82:48) cSport > WH 2:0 (110:34, 190:35)
Our roster is impressive as well:
Askold - 1st place WCG RU 2003, 2002
Navigator - 2nd place WCG RU 2003
ELiam - 1st place WCG Baltic, OMS 2003
Lexx (me :)) - 2nd place WCG Baltic
So what I'm trying to put here, is to ask any kind of sponsors who are willing to support my team. We will accept everything and put your banner on our upcoming homepage (to be released on Sunday). This team has great future (that's not only my opinion, but many experts believe so as well).
Korea
Overally, Korea was great, the event it self was amazingly good, I mean the organisation, of course we can blame them for the Single Elimination rules instead of Double, but still, just to think about Opening Ceremony and almost no conflicts - for such tournament it's really great. I was kind of shocked when I saw mayor of Seoul playing StarCraft vs the winner of that nomination, of course he was noob, but still, can you imagine your mayor playing a computer game? I think no. The Olympic Park is a great place for such event, though I can't understand why they've decided to rent so many buildings, two or one would have been enough, not 3 or even 4, don't remember how many there were. And the thing that made me really sad was counting frags in UT2003, that's really gay.. A lot of WCG flags were seen around Seoul, like the president of South Korea said, these are cyber olympics, and they're treated like ones there.
I've met a lot of players whom I wanted to meet, and was pretty amazed how friendly bds actually was :D. The Korean porno (wooho) left bad impression on me and Polos, nothing special, ridiculus story-line (yes, all of them have that part) and some insane-speed length of sex it self, like 30 seconds. Is that all what they're capable of?
We also had a really good time with Ocrana.D-Link, those guys are great and they've shared their beer with us, thank you! Fotunately, we lived in same Hotel as they were, and Bulgarian Team Leader, few really nice evenings were spent there, I tell you. I've also had the chance to speak and meet Sujoy (ESReality), BLUEman (ESReality), DJ-Wheat (TSN) and others I can't remember right now. No disappointments this time, no sir.
The last night was something crazy and extreme. Oh, wait, I remembered what disappointed me, it was the farewell party. Free beer and food - great thing, but the length.. Forces me to remember Korean Porno, about 2-3 hours and that's it, farewell. That obviously wasn't enough for me, Polos and the whole Team Kazakhstan. We went into a nice pub and got almost drunk to death. Last thing I remember quite clearly was walking around the streets of Seoul, showing my WCG Badge and screaming that StarCraft Rulez and I am SlayerS_BoxeR's brother in law. I also tried to speak with some Korean chicks, later I was told that we found something to talk about, even tho I was speaking in English/Russian and they spoke Korean with me. Weird..
More to come, just wait and.. And stay around cyberfight.org (WOOHOO)! |
