Well just a tad earlier Dreg wrote a nice little column about his day at the WCG UK Qualifier's, so I thought I'd do something similar but from my point of view, we all know what went on the games, the player's, the admins, and everything else... and we all know it was a quite interesting day non the less, but as far as organising went that was something else, it was setup nicely and a nice job infact done by the people at WCG UK and especially TheKev, nice one mate.... but as far as the 5-Minute and 10-Minute duels went that was another story, and a good laugh at that... If all games was 15-Minutes I'm sure the event would of turned out even more nicely than it did, shame about how noisey the event was, I'm sure dreg has mentioned something about that somewhere else, hehe.... well played to all the people that attended the qualifier's, and especially well played to Sid and Dreg they both played extremely well and the Final was a tense one also and made for a great spectating game for everyone else watching them battle it out, hope our own British fella does well in Korea, I'm sure he will with abit more practise, he aint short of a few people in Europe to help him along with that, all the best...

I arrived at the place a bit later than other's, as I was told it started at 1pm, but TheKev put me in my place and said that wasn't true and it should of began earlier, the gamer's should all of been there before 11am or something, O'well my bad... I'm lazy in the mornings so getting up at 7ish, to get ready and leave for central town to catch my train at 8:55 was abit hard for me, but it had to be done, I was acompanied by a local friend, who also play's quake but not at a serious level like myself and everyone else on this site, and also idle's in IRC when he has the time, he came to London with me, and had an interesting time... as we saw alot of hot women on the train, the only thing London is good for is the nice women down there;) we got off in Paddington train station, and I was lost as soon as i stepped down on English Turf, turned around and asked the nearest guy how to get to Earls Court:)... he safely told us were to go, we went on the underground tube (woohoo) and finally came to Earls Court, now me being the smart ass, I forgot to ask anyone in mIRC that night what the venue was called and i didn't bother checking any websites, so we went to the nearest internet cafe, and asked if they knew about the WCG UK and were it was being held :P some guy said if it was a big event, I said yes... he said have you tried the exhibition centre, just around the corner that just made our day, so we ran off like a bunch of skool girls with our little cute bags on our backs to this centre, thank god i found it, it was about 10 to 1 at this point, was worried if i didn't make it in time, and was unable to play:) (CPL Holland Style) we finally got in, and saw the size of the venue, and again more nice women, and everything else... and knew it'd be a kewl day out.... :D

Now onto more WCG stuff, last weekend... a few days ago to be more accurate... we saw the WCG USA Qualifier go underway and I personally specated some of those awesome duels on GTV, I think we all was expecting a better performance from Fatality but non the less he still done well, we can't always stay up the top hey, move along for the newer breed of gamer's, we saw Cha0tics, Socrates & Daler do as well as everyone expected from them, a nice win from Socrates also, he's the player that impressed me the most, even though I already know what he's capable of.

Now we await for the WCG NL Qualifier, which is happening this Saturday as most of you know, something I'm looking forward to, and alot of great player's and great games will be played I'm sure, a tough qualifier this will be... pretty similar to WCG USA, I hope my man Rufus does well, I think he will considering he's been away from Quake3 for quite sometime as he turned into an EQ boff, but with a bit of hardcore practise before the event, I think he could pull something funky off at WCG NL, just  hope everyone else around the globe tunes in for it, the more the merior, as it will be an entertaining tournment, then all I have to say is roll on WCG Korean Finals. :)
