Alex (dreg) wrote a nice prediction about WCG UK a week ago or something, I also decided to write a prediction about the dutch WCG.

WCG Holland has 8 top duelers from where 2 can get a ticket to Korea. The main final will be upcoming weekend(12/13 October) in Veldhoven, the belgium final will be there too. This is the demo between if22 and menendez of the World Cyber Games 2002, the finale. The dutch players who will fight for ticket to Korea this year are:

• Frank menendez Wattimena - menendez demos

menendez played for unreal and reached
the LAN finals of the ClanBase
EuroCup 4 and 5.
He participated CPL Cologne, WCG 2002
Grand finals (last 16) and 4th at
LA5, If I am rite:D

• Lemmy if22 de Groot - if22 demos

if22 always was and is a
top duel player in the world,
he dominating the dutch duel scene
already for a long time by starting 1 year
ago when he played menendez
in the finale of the dutch
WCG 2001 qualifier.
With TDM he never been a well known
player but with duel, he is famous, he did really well
at CPL Holland. At WCG 2001 in Korea he didn't
do that well, he had some problems
with his mouse too, but at PGChallenge 2002
he ended second behind LeXeR and defeated
players like sr-death, [EYE]Z4muZ and more. And dont forget his win at c58i.

• Iwert AllpaCt Dijkema - AllpaCt demos

AllpaCt, he had some bad luck vs shaFt
at the dutch WCG 2001 qualifier,
he has been doing well last times
on lans and competition, he almost ended
every event second behind if22
where he participated.
On regroup 10, Elemental (pre-qualifier) and also
sometimes third behind shaFt.
He defeated blokey in the Cyberfight invite tournament
on ztn3tourney1 with one frag and doesn't got many experience.
The player from Amsterdam will compete
his first international event if he end's up top2.

• Justin shaFt Touw Ngie Tjouw - shaFt demos

shaFt ended third last time by beating AllpaCt and HellSpaWN,
the player who also coming from Amsterdam
wants to reach the top2, well who not :)
he participated on high level with his clan rG in competition like EC4,
EC5 and LA7, he always been duel much and ended
also many times behind if22 on the second
or third place with AllpaCt on second.
At the last tournament, which was netgamez 2002,
he lost in overtime vs if22 on pro-q3tourney4.
At WCG Korea, shaFt defeated among socrates
in a close game, socrates was sick but still nice.

• Stefan MaDDoG Timmermans - MaDDoG demos

MaDDoG, one of the x4 dudes,
he always shows up on lans but
never reached the top2, that doesn't means
he is bad or that doesn't make
any chance to end top2 at WCG nl,
he beated shaFt at pre-wcg qualifier campzone and more,
at Elemental he picked his WCG spot by ending in the top5.
If MaDDoG plays his own game and aiming like he is doing
last times with a combonation of good
tactix he can be a big suprice.
The x-plicit 4 player never been at international's events
as a duel player, with x4 he participated CPL Cologne
TDM 2002 and the clanbase eurocup 5.

• Auke infamous Kruithof - infamous demos

infamous is a guy who is playing quake 3 since the test,
he went to Texas for the CPL Razer tournament
where he ended top 64 or something,
he also played at CPL Holland where he was defeated
by St_Germain on tourney2 in the second round with only 2 frags.
I don't know how infamous will play this qualifier
because he playing more Unreal Tournament 2003 than Quake3.

• Rufus - Rufus demos

Everyone knows Rufus as an old school quaker,
he leaded the top of Holland's duel scene
for long time with Dta and 7th,
later also menendez and after that if22 was taking over
around WCG Holland 2001. Rufus participated CPL Cologne
where he was knocked out by cK-fatal1ty on q3tourney4. At CPL Holland
the russian Pow3r was to strong and you probably remember that, after
this game Rufus motavation for quake3 went down.
He had to play pod.moerser in the loser brackets, he lost that game,
well game, Rufus only used the pummel
and gl. Rufus played for clan's like Nn, LoD and aAa in his TDM time.
He is now back and he doesn't expect much from himself.  

• prodx - no demos

What can I say about prodx, prodx is a pretty unknown guy,
he didn't participated much events,
only Elemental where he did well, prodx defeated PZZ SICK
and PZZ NEM1 there, a good result,
he lost twice vs shaFt and WCG Holland 2002 will be his
first big tournament, good luck to him, he is playing much so who knows !.

This is some information what I got about the player's. It will be a hard event for al players I think also one of the most difficult qualifier.

My prediction:

I think that if22 will win this qualifier, he got the rite tactix, experience, everything. It is more about who will take the second ticket to Korea. If I check the last results of lan's etc, it will be AllpaCt, but menendez not been at many tournaments last time for q3duel. shaFt always doing well at tournament, with the luck on his side he can end up as a suprice.

As I said, it is probably one of the most difficult qualifiers, the 8 players are al high and top skilled players with allot of experience. I will upload the demos and pictures on this site. There is probably no internet so there wont be a GTV.
