ShadZy, noBap, noBap, ShadZy. Polos, Polos. So many debates that you can literally go crazy. I would like to put a period on this question. First of all, a little bit of look at the past:
After first disband of the team, the ones who stayed on c58 were me and noBap. We didn't have any big ambitions and we were good friends. That time noBap wasn't a good player. Some time have passed and we've decided to continue the c58 team history and began thinking on getting a new team. Soon Red-white and Hanzo joined the team, and everyone was laughing at our team structure. Later, Redwhite was replaced by Morfei and instead of Hazno was ShadZy. As a team, we were weak players and were making people laugh. The first time we've got to do serious practicing is before MC3 tourney, where we've had lost to TMP. I've been working a lot on how team was playing, its tactics, and some things were getting better.
Later, an EuroCup 5 had started. No one had any good experience in internet play, so our first games were very bad. I tried to share my experience with others, and we've been playing with more and more stability each match. ShadZy's team play level had started to rise and noBap's duel gaming was also becoming very good. After finishing the EuroCup, we've been having a feel that we were a good team, and we weren't the object of jokes anymore. The leagues and tourneys gone silent so we've stopped the training. ShadZy had become a high-class team player and noBap was a great duel player. Morfei still couldn't realize himself due to a uncertain play and due to a strong pressure from teammates. All my attention was focused on ShadZy and noBap's gameplay.
MC3 Tourney. This tourney Elvira was playing in place of Morfei, but there wasn't any huge difference between both in gameplay. We've had 3 sucessful players, and, keeping with each other, we've made a second place on the tourney. In parrarel to that we've finished our matches in TNIQL league.
After that point the team in that structure had lived its live over. The recent leaving of ShadZy and noBap had confirmed the fact. There is no one who's guilty of this, it's just the circumstances of the situation. There will be new tourneys, new leagues, and I will, probably, try to gather another one team. It's very likely that the team will not perfom very well and will be again an object of scepticism and laugh. Possibly, even noBap and ShadZy will be laughing. Maybe there will be no team at all, but I would personally like that c58 would always have four players defending their honor on tourneys.
Myself, I was taking a break from Quake almost a month, just after finishing MC3 and gave up. In some days I will be again training duel. There are no ambitions of "winning everyone", but I will be saving my ideas and strength from other people. I just want to do a serious practice for upcoming WCG. In 2001 I couldn't practice since I was focusing my attention on c58 (noBap, lord, shadzy and me) to prepare the team for WCG 4x4. In result I've lost in duel.
Talking about my reaction about this situation. I'm not upset on anyone at all, since I now have less things to look after. Will be focusing on doing useful things to myself when I do useful things to others. The idea of making a team from new players is also always with me, so this is not the end of c58 team. |
