q3dm13tmp is a rather interesting duel map, though, due to not very clever respawns location, it hasn't been often played on tourneys recently. But before this map was one of the basics. The main duel weapon on q3dm13tmp is Rocket. If you are perfect at handling it, you might need no other weapons, though, in some situations, like the skirmish above at the Rocket respawn, Shaft gives big priority compared to other weapons. Shotgun is also good on q3dm13tmp , but only if you aim for sure and don't miss. Otherwise, you'll be smashed by a rocket against the nearest wall. Now about GL - it's very helpful, if you want to protect some point from the enemy's reach. Just fiil the room with grenades, then enter. There are many places where you can defend yourself with grenades or push the opponent out: :
When you have no serious weapons, and you want to take the Rocket, then toss a couple of control grenades to prevent the enemy's sudden appearance. You can shoot through the exit from the Megahealth from above, as well as from the Shaft.
If you're about to take the red armor, then toss some grenades into the passage leading to the exit from the side of the teleport and to the exit from the Shaft below.
When you're going to take the Megahealth, first throw grenades in the room with it. take the Rocket, throw a couple of grenades, and keep in mind that you can come to the Megahealth not only from below, but also from above. Out of the teleport, you can also fire through the Megahealth region.
If you know the enemy's about to come out of the teleport with the red armor, throw some grenades on the teleportation place. Stand aside or above the jumppad.
If you know the enemy is by the Shaft, throw grenades in both passages and wait.
Now about tactics. The biggest priority in the duel on q3dm13 gives the control over the Megahealth. In fact, a player with 100 health points and 200 armor points is almost equal to a player with 200 and 100, but there are much more armors on the map, and the pone to get the Megahealth, will have 200 and 200 almost at once. The best is to take the red armor, the Megahealth, the second red armor, and again the Megahealth, firing at the enemy in the meanwhile. I don't recommend to move on the upper part of the level without Shaft, as you'll lose your armor at once, sometimes even without damaging the enemy.
Usually at the beginning of the game one player gets the possibility of taking the Megahealth, the yellow armor and the Shotgun, while the second takes the red and yellow armors and the Rocket. In fact, sometimes one player manages to take both the red armor and the Megahealth. If you're lucky at spawning, and the enemy spawned by whether the Shaft or the GL, don't rush into blind arcade. It's not the fact that you'll kinn the enemy with the Shaft, and will have enough armor to safely take nthe next red armor and Megahealth. Also be careful at taking the red armor - the opponent may hurt you bad aiming from the Rocket above. If you can aim well at the border by the Rocket up from below, then you can damage the enemy pretty good. And sometimes when you control the level, those rockets up from below do all the job for you - the enemy may drop to the lava. So pratice aiming on borders.
Standing on the armor, you can keep on firing on the edges by the Rocket. A lucky hit can drop the opponent to the lava.

If the enemy has the Rocket and an armor, and you don't want to skirmish, learn some positions for the Megahealth's defense:
If the Megahealth is about to spawn, stand right on its location and fire through the passage or simply hide behins a corner, but avoid too much risk. Very careful players fire at corners before entering the room.
If the Megahealth is not to spawn soon, and you're pursued, practice firing back in passages.
With these simple means you can successfully defend the Megahealth, but there are situations when you don't think about it, but still don't want to leave it to the opponent. In such case you must sneak and damage the enemy while he's taking the Megahealth or after that.
Try to damage the enemy right after he took the Megahealth. You can catch him whether above or below in the passage from the Shotgun.
Well, these are the basics for the game on q3dm13tmp. Never forget about the Megahealth, it's also useful to grab as many armors as possible, leaving nothing to the enemy. In the case when you lead with one or two frags, and there are little time left till the end of the game, don't try to hide in some place like the Shaft, as that's where you'll be sought first. After teleporting from the enemy you can take a risk and quickly stand in the corner behind the teleportation place, then whether hit the enemy with the powerfist or try to kill him with the Rocket (see below):
If the enemy hides from you, then check the teritory by the Shaft first, then take the Megahealth and carefully jump down to the teleport leaving the red armor alone.
table width=100% border=0> | If you're wondering where the enemy is, try to catch him at taking a device like the yellow armor or Rocket, for example.
If you're dropped to lava, don't panic - falling correctly, you won't lose more than 10 health points. Right at the moment of falling press jump "+moveup", like this the server will determine such jump like an ordinary falling from above, and not into lava, which might take you 35 HP for the first second and 60 for the second...
