pro-q3tourney2 is a remake of the standard q3tourney2 with some changes. First, the level architecture has been slightly changed. Second, new devices were added, such as Railgun and red armor. Third, all weapons respawn every 15 seconds, and not 5, like it was before. All these differencies change considerably the gameplay tactics compared to the standard q3t2. And now your game strategy can be more various. The main weapon is the Rocket, next come both the Shaft and Railgun - both always are lacking of ammo, which doesn't allow to use them often. Usually on first spawn one player takes the Rocket and red armor, the other - the yellow armor, Shaft and Railgun, and here appears the question what to do next.
If you got the Rocket and red armor, better wait for another Rocket, then go to take another armor. Though, if you're not afraid of giving the Rocket to the enemy, wait for the armor and then go to get the yellow one. The enemy will most probably be waiting for its spawn at that moment. If all's clean there, try to get the Railgun, but be very careful. After that is the best moment to go for the red armor's next respawn, because if the enemy takes it, your forces will be equal, and you'll lose the priority gotten at the first spawn. So, you're back to the red armor. It's not desirable to go through the teleport, as the enemy has the Railgun for sure. Go by sideways, but don't hesitate, or you won't be in time. If you successfully took the red armor, now, when you have the Railgun, it's right the time to get the yellow armor from the enemy. Like this you'll have all weapons and control over both armors.
When you're back from the yellow armor, control the situation by the distant Rocket . |
If you noticed the enemy hasn't got the Rocket yet, or he's out of rockets, try to catch him at taking the Rocket.
|
The same way you can corner him by the Railgun. Just stand and wait for his actions, as the enemy caught at taking the Railgun is a 100 % frag for you.
|
If you lead with some frags, and prefer not to arcade, simply go out from one side and try to shoot the enemy from a distance, interrupting his attack.
|
Now about the situation when you spawned in the level part with the Shaft. Take the Shaft, Railgun and yellow armor. Now you can whether come to the red armor through the teleport or try to get the Rocket. It's safer to go through the telepot, as the enemy has only the Rocket, the most important is not to let him hit you right at the moment of teleportation.
If you decided to take the Rocket, be careful, as the enemy can catch you and make a stupid frag. Better take the Rocket and run below to the yellow armor's next respawn.
|
Now all you have to do is to get the red armor, and if you're sure the enemy doesn't have the Railgun, you can go via the jumppad or teleport. In any case, try to pick up another yellow armor first. After that you can do the first frag. If you killed the enemy at the red aromr, run to the Shaft right away. The enemy will most probably respawn there, so be watchful. If you killed him on the Shaft, or by the yellow armor, run to the Rocket. The enemy will sure rush there, and you will be able to make an easy frag.
If you lead with one or two frags, and there's acouple of minutes left till the end og the game, the best is to hide behind the teleport or by the yellow armor.
