cyberfight: Hello, Denis! As we know, you’ve just come back from the conference of WCG national preliminary organizers. What is the latest news concerning one of the major events in 2005?

Denis "wcg_bull3t" Samohin: Hi! Well, this is all what I have at the moment: the Grand Final of WCG 2005 is being held in Singapore (from the 16th to the 20th of November) at one of the biggest exhibition centers in the country (SunTec City or SingExpo). This year will feature a purely picturesque place as the players' residence - "Costa Sands Resort" resort. It’s located 5 minutes far from the airport, and honestly, it is a small paradise. The players will be provided with a large training ground and adequate food, also special buses will regulary take the participants to the venue and back to the quarters. At the past conference we attained prior arrangements with the representatives of Western European countries about holding a joint tournament on our historical motherland – the details on this will follow shortly.

cyberfight: A question regarding EuroCyberGames. Will Russian players attend this event? This matter worries all our audience and fans. Are there any details on the tournament, you’d like to tell us besides this?

Denis "wcg_bull3t" Samohin: Only today all the details on ECG 2005 have been finally put together – unfortunately this event had occurred rather spontaneous, that’s why the information about its schedule was received by the partners of WCG a week ago, and the financial details have been revealed this day. What about organization – the representatives of "Samsung" in each country will have to pay themselves for the players, who will attend the competition on behalf of their country. ECG is rather new event, therefore full-scale participation of our national team should have been planned in advance, even before the official announcement. Nevertheless we will undoubtedly take part in the championship, but not in all disciplines – at present we are focused on the upcoming WCG 2005. As regards Russian delegation, it will be composed of the winners (first places) of WCG 2004 in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne and Starcraft: Brood War for sure, and maybe the FIFA winner – anyway we will release more information on this very soon. At this moment we have to obtain German visas as soon as possible, owing to the fact Germaney is one of the hardest countries of Schengen to visit. (Well, after the USA, I guess, we have nothing to).

cyberfight: WCG Russia 2005 – what is it going to be like? Do you possess some official (or maybe not) information on this competition?

Denis "wcg_bull3t" Samohin: The last stage of WCG Russia 2005 is being held in Moscow in earlier August. It is more likely to be final. As to details, they will occur before the conference of organizers in April. I can only add, that we will put maximum efforts in giving the winners the chance to do their best at the main event, we are even considering the possibility of arranging boot camps with players from other countries!

cyberfight: What’s your opinion about the list of games at WCG 2005? I suppose you know, that the community has acted very ambiguous towards this decision of the WCG committee ...

Denis "wcg_bull3t" Samohin: Well, what can I say – many disciplines were predictable… Counter-Strike: Source, I think, will be tuned quite soon, and in respect of the main “sensation” - Warhammer 40000, we were struggling until the very end, but all our efforts were futile… By now I can tell you, that we won’t held qualifiers for this game in Russia.

P.S. The ones, who will be lucky enough and attend the Grand Final of WCG 2005, I’m completely sure, will have a fantastic time there, because of its marvelous venue. I do hope in this year we will send to Singapore really worthy team, which will be able to hit top sports!
