 GSC.GameWorld vs M19  at de_aztec - HLTV demo

We are first going to analyse the winner brackets and then the final game!

First opponent to face the Ukrainian team was Team-M19, it was a hot battle at de_aztec.

GSC.GameWorld at de_aztec

GSC as Terrorists:

  • First round was a bridge rush which soon was followed by a successive plant at bombsite B.
  • Whilst the enemy ecoed, CSG stayed put with 3 man responsible for the double door, one for the bridge, and one for water. This was used to eliminate any threat from the rushing CT'S. Shortly after holding CSG rushed through the double doors to secure a bomb plant at A.
  • Default scheme for a rifle round would feature 3 going into the water and 2 through the double door.

GSC as Counter Terrorist:

  • enix stands near the double door all the time, yxo is either directly beside enix or camps near the door with an awp behind the boxes at A. Zer0 is responsible for the water route (watching it from bombplant A). Bridge is under bob's and weiss's control.
  • The second variation of the defence tactics is a superior hold of the water which features; Weiss and bobo camping the double doors with 2 rifles whilst the rest camp in the water.
  • On the ECO-round GSC all gather near the double door, waiting for the enemies to come out.

GSC.GameWorld at de_cbble

GSC as Counter Terrorist:

  • In the first round all counter-terrorists go to bombsite B to check for a rush. Then the team divides into 2 pairs and one free player. First pair(zer0+yxo) defend bombplant B by boosting one another onto the the boxes as shown in the screenshot. Second pair camps near the left tunnel. Whilst Enix controls the underpass.
  • During the rifle rounds GSC have the following variations: yxo camps outside the right tunnel within a short distance from it and Zer0 camps outside the same tunnel with an awp from a further distance. During some other rounds zer0 could hold the underpass with an awp whilst weiss, yxo and enix defend bombplant B and boost one another on a box near the exit from the right tunnel.
  • Another variant would look as following: after spawning one guy goes to control the right tunnel, if enemies are already there then one teammate comes to help him. They then all make an ambush at the center of tunnel.
  • Enix however usually defends the underpass alone but sometimes bobo and weiss make an ambush through the underpass, and hide behind the gate.

GSC as Terrorist:

  • Every round futures a lot of decoy.
  • In the first round they slowly push up to Bombsite B however on the way they wait for the CT'S to use up all their HE'S and flashbangs.
  • In rifle rounds most of the time they do the default tactic which features an attack on BombSite A whilst one person does a decoy on the other bombsite making a lot of noise, using up all of his grenades e.t.c (He then returns to the main group). However there is another tactic which features a 3-2 layout with 3 man rushing through the underpass and 2 others going through the left tunnel to bombsite A

GSC.GameWorld at de_nuke

GSC as Terrorist:

  • During the pistol round GSC makes a fast rush down the ramp. However if one of them spawns in a location near the house he will jump down the vent into the lower bombsite.
  • During the rifle rounds all players use flashbangs and smoke grenades. They have 2 default tactics:
Weiss imitates a rush on the ramp, using flashes and smokes whilst all other team members shoot through the walls to attract attention, they then use the 3-2 layout with zer0, yxo and enix rushing outside whilst weiss and bobo rush through the hut! This tactic however has some variation which include proceeding a rush through the steps down to bombsite B, or doing a full house rush through the hut and the door to bombsite A.
  • This tactic have some variants, when outside guys go to the ramp, 2 others do the same, but from the house.
  • Also they can rush the higher bombplant through the door and the hut. If GSC kills some defenders, they plant the bomb at A or jump in ventilation tunnels, with some support of the ramp

GSC as Counter Terrorist:

  • Accent in first round goes to controlling the outside area. 2 CTS(yxo and zer0) camp central entrance from the second house. Bobo is on the top of the ladder, camping the house. Weiss camps the area outside near the red box. Enix is responsible for ramp.
  • During the ECO-rounds GSC divides in 2 groups: 3 guys run to the area, which you can see on a screenshot, other 2 CTS stand at the lower bombplant.
  • In rifle rounds they follow the same structure. Yxo and zer0 stand inside A whilst bobo who is on
the top of ladder helps them out. Wiess and enix defend the ramp.

GSC.GameWorld at de_inferno

GSC as Terrorist:

  • In the first round we can see a model of all the tactics used during the game! Right at the beginning all of the team holds positions and makes sure they dont get rushed. After that weiss controls the house, bobo and enix check the CT window from middle and Zer0 and yxo are responsible for the banana-hall. The next step includes throwing flashes down the left side of middle and a flash to the sandbox from the house. Right after that they rush to bombsite A!
  • However sometimes they do a full rush to bombsite B, with out allowing the enemies to rush up through middle.
  • If its not a B rush, then its a fast A rush which consists of a 2-2-1 structure: 2 (bobo+yxo) rush center, 2(weiss+enix) do the same from the house and zer0 is responsible for watching the backs of the team (Incase CT's rush through the banana hall).

GSC as Counter Terrorist:

  • Only a 3-2 scheme is used by GSC for the CT side. It means 3(bobo+enix+wiess) defend bombsite A, they are concentrated near small sandbox and zer0 and yxo defend bombplant B, using different layout for it.
  • During the pistol round, enix camps the balcony by standing in the big sandbox, bobo who was "boosted" on the box, camps center-left area whilst weiss plays a role of a "free helper" at the bombplant. Plant B is defended with default layout: zer0 stands in the middle of the bombsite and yxo helps him for the CT Spawn.
  • During the match GSC rarely changes their layout. Plant B is defending with various "boost" types, but the layout is generally the same as descibed above. At bombsite A, we can see more variations; For example enix and weiss can camp right inside the house by the steps or bobo and enix can do some spy work in the center.

GSC.GameWorld at de_dust2

GSC as Terrorist:

  • In the pistol round Ukrainian team waits some time for about half a minute, and than rushes to bombsite B through the tunnels, after planting 2 man pull back into the tunnels whilst the other 3 secure the Bombsite!
  • During the ECO-rounds GSC all stick together and do a rush in a random direction. If its obvious that the opposition are doing an eco round then all of GSC rush to B.
  • During rifle rounds they just choose a direction of attack (A long or Bombsite B). Weiss is the man chosen to watch behind the team
  • A 2-2-1 scheme is also sometimes used. Weiss and yxo without a sound go to the steps, enix and bobo attack long, zer0 is responsible for watching their backs.
  • Also GSC can do the same round, only difference is in the beginning. Yxo camps in the tunnels. Zer0 and bobo go a long and weiss and enix are camping short.

GSC as Counter Terrorist:

  • GSC begins the round with rush and then controls Terrorist's center(bobo+yxo), zer0 camps the exit from B tunnels, enix and
weiss camp long from bombplant A.
  • In ECO-rounds all forces of GSC run to B bombplant, than camp it with 5 handguns.

Defense variants at bombplant B:

  • If zer0 has awp in his hands, he and bobo go inside bombsite B, zer0 watches tunnels with his awp and bobo watches middle by standing near the window.
  • The second variant is that zer0 watches the exit form the tunnels, standing on the mountain. Bobo watches middle from CT spawn.

Defensing schemes for bombsite A look like the default:

  • Sometimes 2 or 3 CTS run down a long and play offensively they then boost one player onto the wall above the arch by the T entrance. After that enix and yxo camp steps from bombsite A.
  • In some rounds enix and weiss rush short, whilst yxo camps long from bombplant A.

Everything described above was fully deserved by team GSC.GameWorld! They worked hard during their practice sessions and on the way to the event got some amazing achievements at various international events! Every player understands his role within the clan and tries his best to acomplish the goals which are set by the team!
