Every truly worthwhile competitive online game spends a good amount of time in the spotlight. This period of time can last for years, drawing players from all over the world, and giving some exceptionally talented players the opportunity to earn both fortune and glory through tournament events like the ASUS Spring Cup. This is a law of precedence in competitive games, and since the very first competitive online game, DOOM, these things have all held true. Professional sports as a means of entertainment is a very, very old idea. It likely has its roots even before the first Olympic games, played centuries ago. Nobody has a problem with the idea of watching a game of basketball or football, and certainly, one would be challenged to find even one person that looks down on a professional athlete. In physical sports, it doesn't seem to be an issue that you can earn your full salary by "playing" a "game." |

| Schroet Kommando.swe once again prove to all the superiority in Counter Strike. Became the first champions for all CPL history which have defended the title. Before nobody managed to win this tournament 2 times successively. You know perfectly well that bds & co were in difficult situation, 3 guys were sick during the tournament. And SpawN again helped guys to achieve this victory. SK.swe played nice matches against TSO, Online, rdw and NoA. And now they are still the main heroes at the Counter Strike stage. |
